Armenia and Azerbaijan Conflict “Armenia – Azerbaijan” ongoing conflict mushroomed again in 2020 , since it begins with military action of Armenian army in the territory of Azerbaijan in 1994 and seizes the present disputed autonomous region of Nagorno- Karabakh ,which was the part of Azerbaijan before invasion. Both the countries got brief independence from Russian empire after Russian revolution , but occupied again by USSR. This current disputed Nogorno – Karabakh region had majority of the population of Armenian origin people , where ethnic cleansing and massacre of Armenian people by Azerbaijan forces led this dispute to the new level ( In 1988 people of this region had voted to secede and join Armenia ). Indian Prime Minister had rightly said about the relevancy of United Nations . Where is this World Organization ? Who would check UN’s accountability ? If US , Russia and some European Countries have more control over the world geopolitics than UN , so, what is the need to have this Organization ? Amit Thakur
